To the moon by way of the crow's win is an exhibition which underscores themes of mysticism, folklore, and mythology rooted in the fantastical. The lure of the spoken narrative sheppards our thoughts, allowing us to become our own story teller. We are spellbound by image maker, who directs our gaze to the outlandish. The illustrations of the exhibition reference Mia Carnevale's ongoing Veyolan illustrated publication, integrating refernces from Pre-Raphaelite paintings to Art Nouveau posters and various folk traditions and motif of the Mediterranean.

Mia Carnevale is an Artist and Illustrator located in Toronto, Canada.

In her practice she is interested in exploring motifs from Italian folktales, Mediterranean antiquities, myth and romance.
