Natual Ink paintings by Ishan Davé

Ishan Davé is an actor and visual artist based in Toronto who learned the process of making and using natural inks from his friend and mentor Jason Logan who founded Toronto Ink Company. 

These 11 x 15" ink works are made from foraged materials from local neighbourhoods. Goldenrod from near Warsaw caves in Douro Dummer county, Railway spikes covered in rust from the tracks by Osler, walnuts from Mississauga's Rockwood Village ravine and more.
