Handmade and hand painted
Each one is a little different and unique
Lindsay Gravelle is a Toronto based artist and arts educator. She started working with clay on a whim in a community class, never expecting it would become her professional practice. She studied painting and drawing at The University of Western Ontario, ceramics at Sheridan College, and has an MEd in Adult Education and Community Development from OISE.
Her ceramic work involves the (al)chemical exploration of colour and texture in clay and glaze. She uses layered surface decoration to explore painting, drawing, and printmaking techniques on clay, while blending hand-building, throwing, and slip-casting to produce both functional and sculptural ceramics.
