On Softness
ABOUT THE ZINE:
On Softness is a zine series offering thoughts, hot takes, analyses, mediations, ruminations, critiques, and love letters, all on the topic of softness. Some of the questions inspiring this series are: in a world that feels much too hard, that romanticizes grit, rigidity, and toughness, why might we choose to be soft? What shapes and forms does softness take in our day-to-day lives? What does softness make possible and what are its limitations?
In volume 1, co-editors Andi Schwartz and Margeaux Feldman attempt to answer these questions as they talk about, write about, and collage their way through the following topics: softness as a political orientation; softness as a practice of healing from trauma; how softness shows up (or doesn’t) in our intimate relationships; and the connections between softness, queerness, and femme identity.
